2008 Virginia ENERGY STAR Sales Tax Holiday

When is Virginia’s ENERGY STAR Sales Tax Holiday? Friday, October 10 through Monday, October 13.

What items are eligible for exemption from sales tax?
All eligible retailers who carry ENERGY STAR qualified products will suspend sales tax on the following ENERGY STAR qualified products that cost up to $2,500 or less:

• Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs)**
• Ceiling Fans
• Clothes Washers
• Dehumidifiers
• Dishwashers
• Programmable Thermostats
• Refrigerators
• Room Air Conditioners

Current legislation will add WaterSense products to the sales tax holiday. More details will be provided as the sales tax holiday gets closer.
