Building America
Building America is a private/public partnership that develops energy solutions for new and existing homes. There are a number of Building America projects where energy-efficient homes have been built or are being built in Virginia.
With support from the DMME, VSBN is working in partnership with the Blue Ridge Home Builders Association (BRHBA) and the Home Builders Association of Virginia (HBAV) to introduce the EarthCraft House™ (ECH) Single Family Program to Virginia. This voluntary Green Building Program works with builders to produce homes that are more energy and resource efficient, provide greater cost savings for homebuyers, and provide added comfort and health benefits. For more information about these programs, please visit the VSBN web site.
