Advisory Group

The Virginia Energy Plan Advisory Group was selected to represent the broad areas affecting energy in Virginia. The Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy was selective in asking people to participate that will represent not only their clients or organization, but that can represent the broader interest area they work in.  Members will be asked to address critical issues to be included in the Virginia Energy Plan, provide background information and participate in discussion of the issues, and make recommendations as to what should be included in the Plan.

The Advisory Group is comprised of individuals representing consumers, local governments and the military, general business interests, environmental advocacies, Virginia electric and natural gas utilities, the petroleum and energy extraction industries, renewable energy interests, and other energy stakeholders.
