New On-line Permitting and Reporting System Now Available
| The Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy, Division of Mineral Mining (DMM) has developed an electronic permitting and reporting system (e-Forms) for mine operators and independent contractors working on mineral mine sites in Virginia. This web-based system provides an alternative to completing the paper forms that are required as part of the DMM regulatory and certification programs. The e-Forms center was developed with input from the mineral mining industry as a way to improve services and reduce the costs of regulatory compliance. The center is designed to allow secure access to DMM records for registered users with specific authorization granted by each individual company. In addition, the payment of fees related to permitting/licensing and certification testing can now be completed via a secure on-line connection. |
